FAIRMONT THE QUEEN ELIZABETH

Our 3-nights stay in Montreal at the Fairmont the Queen Elizabeth did not disappoint. We visited 

Montreal as a family in the autumn months of October. If you are looking to experience comfort 

and luxury, you may share similar feelings. We found the location to be central to many landmarks, 

such as the famous Notre-Dame Basilica (famous church in Montreal), Vieux-Port de Montreal 

(Old Port of Montreal), which is home to La Grande Roue de Montreal  (Ferris wheel) and 

much more. Many prominent eateries surround the Fairmont, including the in house Roselys 

Restaurant, Fiorellino and Portus 360 (360 degree rotating restaurant). 

THE ROOM

If you have kids, you ought to appreciate any additional square footage available. Our toddler 

therefore motivated us to upgrade to the Large Gold Fairmont Gold Room though he did not offer 

to pay. Nevertheless, it was worth it. The additional space and the panoramic city views exposing

Our 2 nights & 3 day getaway to Whistler will remain an unforgettable trip for years to 

come for two reasons: Waris accompanied us to a hotel for the first time and we could 

not have chosen a better hotel to stay with Waris than the incredible Fairmont Chateau 

Whistler. While we were at Fairmont Whistler, I was thrilled to capture as many fun parts

What an absolutely relaxing and much-needed babymoon it was! A 2-nights and 3-days 

stay over the August long weekend was exactly what Manjot and I needed before the 

inevitable sleepless nights and late-night feedings. Manjot and I thoroughly enjoyed the 

one-on-one time before we added another member to our lovely family. Hashtag blessed!

I have always wanted to pack up our bags for the weekend, hop into a car and escape 

to a cabin somewhere far, far away. Even better would be a secluded but cozy cabin 

surrounded by nature and a beach to enjoy some alone time with my boo. Thankfully,

that's precisely the scenery we enjoyed for a weekend last month, from Sept 5th to 8th.

Manjot was ecstatic to search for log cabins with our prerequisites in mind and with a 

few clicks, we ended up on Tigh-Na-Mara Seaside Spa Resort's website. We loved what 

we saw and rang up my sisters to see if we could turn it into a couples getaway. My older 

sister and brother-in-law were unfortunately not available to come but my younger sister 

and brother-in-law were on board. With the total number of people finalized, we quickly 

booked a 3-night stay at Tigh-Na-Mara from September 5th to September 8th. At the last 

minute, we decided to take our little brother along as space wouldn't be an issue and 

we are so very glad we did. Our trip was twice as fun with him on it!

In my previous post, I explained how my legal articles were keeping me occupied for
the entirety of last year, affecting my ability to blog as frequently. Well, it is with immense
pleasure I am finally able to announce that I have officially and successfully completed
my articles as of end of January 2019. As you can probably imagine, Manjot and I were
ready to disappear the very next day for a much needed and a relaxing weekend away.
