FAIRMONT THE QUEEN ELIZABETH

Our 3-nights stay in Montreal at the Fairmont the Queen Elizabeth did not disappoint. We visited
Montreal as a family in the autumn months of October. If you are looking to experience comfort
and luxury, you may share similar feelings. We found the location to be central to many landmarks,
such as the famous Notre-Dame Basilica (famous church in Montreal), Vieux-Port de Montreal
(Old Port of Montreal), which is home to La Grande Roue de Montreal  (Ferris wheel) and
much more. Many prominent eateries surround the Fairmont, including the in house Roselys
Restaurant, Fiorellino and Portus 360 (360 degree rotating restaurant).

THE ROOM

If you have kids, you ought to appreciate any additional square footage available. Our toddler
therefore motivated us to upgrade to the Large Gold Fairmont Gold Room though he did not offer
to pay. Nevertheless, it was worth it. The additional space and the panoramic city views exposing

TIPS FOR A ROAD TRIP

Dress: Pretty Little Thing (similar here)
Heels: Stuart Weitzman
Bag: Prada

The excitement of a spontaneous road trip is something else: imagine getting up
and yelling, “Road Trip!” and then hopping in a car with your partner and friends
to explore an unknown part of an area. Fun! Unfortunately, getting on the road and
having a fun, comfortable and stress-free road trip isn’t as easy as yelling “shotgun,”
and stopping to grab some worthy snacks on the way. It takes a bit more than that.

To get the most out of your either spontaneous trip or well-planned adventure, it's
usually a good call for brainstorming some easy tips to ensure your drive results
in an enjoyable experience for you and everyone else in the car. Below are such
helpful tips which have guided our previous road trips and many more to come:

CLEAN MACHINE

Keeping your car clean before and during your trip is the key. If you clean up
before your trip, cleaning during your trip will be even easier because you’ll be
able to visualize the mess and get rid of it. Keep two bags in your car: one for

TRAVELLING WITH A TODDLER

Picture: Waris's trip to Fairmont Whistler

You have not experienced early parenthood to the fullest if you have yet to travel by air with a
toddler. At around 5.5 months, Waris accompanied us on a 14.5 hours flight from Vancouver to
India (related blogpost here). At 11 months, we took him on a 2.5 hours road trip to Whistler
(blogpost here) and at around 13 months, he was our favourite little companion on a 9-day trip
to Los Angeles and San Francisco. Nonetheless, I have so much more to learn - I recognize that

GIFT IDEAS FOR HIM

Back in December 2022, I posted a blog about Gift Ideas for Her in hopes to help you find
that perfect something for the woman you love and appreciate. Of course, I couldn't just end
the matter there and not post gift ideas for the special men in your lives. They most certainly
also deserve some lovin', which is why I decided to dedicate this post to them. I have curated

6 MONTH BABY ESSENTIALS

Welcome - you're most probably here in anticipation of your precious little one turning
6 months old. Since I remember the chaos of planning and preparing for my little one
turning 6 and being overwhelmed with the amount of things advertised to be essential
for a 6 month old, I considered it a good idea to share what I thought to be must-haves
when my baby was around 6 months. Of course, you don't need to get the exact same
brand but the list will give you an idea of what is most likely required for your baby.

RETURNING TO WORK AFTER MAT LEAVE

Maninder Sandhu lawyer

After spending nearly 16.5 months with my precious little one, I am back to practicing law
full-time. In the past, fortunately, adapting to new settings and routines has not been too
difficult for me but it was a bit different this time. As a parent, you naturally tend to give a
thought to how your decision will affect your children. From spending nearly every moment
with your baby, you would only be seeing them in the morning and then after a long, possibly

FAMILY FRIENDLY HOTEL IN WHISTLER, BC

family friendly accommodation in whistler bc Canada

Our 2 nights & 3 day getaway to Whistler will remain an unforgettable trip for years to
come for two reasons: Waris accompanied us to a hotel for the first time and we could
not have chosen a better hotel to stay with Waris than the incredible Fairmont Chateau
Whistler. While we were at Fairmont Whistler, I was thrilled to capture as many fun parts

I am beyond excited to share Waris's nursery reveal on my blog. I am nearly finished &
waiting on a few items before I finalize everything and declare it complete (for the time
being). I do however want to share a glimpse of my favourite corner of the nursery with
my modish audience. So, I of course had to put on a pretty PinkBlush dress and throw on

MOTHER'S DAY

Mother's Day this year was extra special - thanks to Waris and his beautiful Dada. I had so
much fun capturing some photos of Waris with the help of my lovely sister-in-law who kept
him busy, smiling and distracted. It was quite a task - a very cute one (I must add). Sharing

PINK LEHENGA

(ft. Yeh Lehenga Nahi Mehenga, Mumbai, India)

Every time I pictured an outfit to wear at my sister-in-law's wedding, I knew I wanted to work
with a pink colour palette. Additionally, ever since I wore the Osaa outfit by Studio Prive to her
engagement, I have been falling for intricate hand embroidery and the sophistication and grace
it can provide any ensemble. Keeping these points at the forefront, I came across this stunning

FLORAL LEHENGA

Lehenga: Idaho

With its perfect blend of flirty sleeves, fun colours, and a flowy silhouette, this is the lehenga of
my dreams. I have to admit I had this lehenga bookmarked a few months ago and came across it
a few days prior to finalizing the perfect outfit for my sister-in-law's Jaggo night. I had so much
fun playing around with the accessories for this outfit. The outfit could both be interpreted as soft

How we ended up in India is a crazy story. We have never planned a trip so quick
though we knew we would end up here once the Covid situation improved a bit. We
had decided to fly to India a few times in 2021 but continued putting a pin in our plans
due to the pandemic. Around the end of January 2022, we heard the news of the United

NEW YEAR | NEW PARENTS

Let me start off by wishing you all a Happy New Year. To each one of you: I hope you have
successfully accomplished all of the goals you set for last year or, at the very least, are very
close to achieving them. Collectively, let's keep hoping and praying for a covid-free world.

Today, I wanted to share that approximately four & a half months and a 'New Year' later,
Manjot and I have learned the secret to being happy new parents. And, I will summarize it

LABOUR OF LOVE: A STORY

 (ft. Baby Waris)

A month of baby Waris and a month of new founded joy, gratitude and blessings. Prior to
experiencing active labour, I often wondered whether I would cry when our baby would be
placed in my arms. I usually led myself to believe that I wouldn't - that, instead, I would be
too filled with contentment to even realize to cry. But, I forgot about the tears of joy. The
moment baby Waris's warm skin made contact with my bare skin, tears automatically started

BABYMOON

What an absolutely relaxing and much-needed babymoon it was! A 2-nights and 3-days
stay over the August long weekend was exactly what Manjot and I needed before the
inevitable sleepless nights and late-night feedings. Manjot and I thoroughly enjoyed the
one-on-one time before we added another member to our lovely family. Hashtag blessed!

A DREAMY BABY SHOWER

This past weekend, my family hosted the most beautiful baby shower honouring baby
Grewal and baby mama! What a dreamy event it was - all my close family, friends and
relatives, the venue, the decor, the cake, the party favours and food were everything I
could have ever wanted at my baby shower. We were fortunate that the provincial
covid-19 health and safety guidelines had eased allowing us to invite a lot more family
and friends than were previously permitted. We decided to keep the event intimate to
create meaningful interactions amongst our guests and to keep them engaged and
occupied. That's how every event should be - wouldn't you agree? All in all, the baby
shower was a hit for me, Manjot and our family and friends. Forever thankful for them!
